Rapid Learning Institute (RLI) President/CEO Stephen J. Meyer recently announced the addition of Ed Wallace to its faculty of Distinguished Thought Leaders.
Wallace is one of the country’s leading experts on the art and science of business relationships. He is founder and Chief Relationship Officer of the Relational Capital Group: a firm that provides professional development and consulting services that help organizations and individuals develop the key relationships that most impact their business performance. Prior to forming his company, Ed was Vice President of Business Development at Vertex, Inc.
RLI is currently turning many of Ed’s innovative ideas into a series of its signature Quick Take Rapid Learning modules for sales personnel. Under the series title “Building Relationships,” the six- to 10-minute Quick Takes completed thus far include “Establishing Trust Through Relational GPS;” “ROC: Get The First Meeting Right” and “Your Relational Scorecard.”
“This is a wonderful opportunity for us,” says Wallace. “RLI is one of the most forward-looking companies in the training business. As a consultant and trainer, I know the challenges of teaching adult learners. So I was excited when Steve offered to package my ideas in a format that really respects the time constraints of busy professionals. The writing process was very collaborative, with lots of respectful give and take. When I finally saw the short, concise modules the RLI team produced, I was delighted. They delivered 100% on their promise.”
RLI’s Distinguished Thought Leadership faculty brings together world-class experts in the fields of sales, leadership, human resources, compliance, education and safety. RLI exclusively chooses leaders who have achieved extraordinary acclaim from peers for innovative thinking in their given disciplines and whose exceptionally pragmatic ideas are easily understood and adopted by workplace practitioners.
“I’m honored to have Ed Wallace on our faculty,” says Meyer. “I asked him to join after seeing him speak. I saw a guy who had not only cracked the code on the dynamics of complex business relationships, but figured out a creative, simple way to explain his concepts to a business audience. That’s a rare skill. I was excited by the challenge of capturing in a series of online modules the magic of what Ed does before a live group. So far, so good. Our customers are responding with great enthusiasm to the power of his ideas.”
In addition to his other accomplishments, Ed Wallace is also the author of three books: Fares to Friends: How to Develop Outstanding Business Relationships; Creating Relational Capital: A Consumer-Centric Selling Approach (with John Holland) and Business Relationships That Last: 5 Steps to Transform Contacts into High Performing Relationships.
Rapid Learning Institute (RLI) provides online training and talent development tools for businesses, government agencies, nonprofits and educational institutions in the areas of sales, human resources, management, leadership and safety. RLI’s approach is founded on the idea that talent development can only be effective if managers make it a priority and follow up to ensure that learning sticks. The company’s signature five to 10 minute modules, called Quick Takes, help managers build their core competency as talent developers by giving them the tools they need to replicate in others the knowledge, skills, attitudes and behaviors that drive performance.
Based in Greater Philadelphia, RLI is an operating division of Business 21 Publishing, LLC
