It’s tempting to ease up during the summer. After all, the weather is nice and there are so many fun things to do.
And that’s exactly why it is easier to snag business from competitors during the summer months and holidays. Your rivals kick back during the summer, and tend to take their long-standing relationships with customers for granted.
Action step: Ramp up your contacts with hard-to-reach customers, especially those who have been with competitors for a long time. Your competitors won’t
know what you are up to, because they are busy taking it easy.
Reality check: You won’t take customers away every time you do this. But you can snag one or two new ones, and learn a lot about the competition.
