Emmy-Winning Television Reporter Gerald Kolpan Joins RLI

Rapid Learning Institute (RLI) is pleased to announce the hiring of former television reporter Gerald Kolpan as its new Senior Writer/Producer.

For 20 years Gerald was features reporter for WTXF-Fox 29 in Philadelphia. His work was seen throughout the Greater Philadelphia area and his stories were often featured on both CNN and the Fox News Channel. During his tenure at the station, Gerald won many awards, including Philadelphia magazine’s “Best of Philly” and 8 Middle Atlantic Emmy Awards. Prior to Fox 29, Gerald’s voice was heard nationally as a contributor to National Public Radio’s “All Things Considered.”

At RLI, Gerald both writes and edits content as well as producing, shooting and editing video. His work includes creation of the company’s signature Quick Take rapid learning modules, publicity and public outreach materials, and RLI’s popular new video series, “The Selling Essentials Minute.”

A graduate of the University of the Arts, Gerald is also a published author. His first novel, Etta, received nationwide praise and has been optioned by NBC. His short story, “The Ratcatcher,” was featured in the anthology, Philadelphia Noir in 2010 and his next novel, Magic Words, is due from Pegasus Books in May 2012.
