Get Managers and employees to support the new employee evaluation process

Both sides have to own the new employee evaluation

So, how does HR, I think you called it campaign manager, assess that some or all of their organization is ready for this employee evaluation?

For this kind of employee evaluation to work, employees have to own it.
You have to understand it’s your career and you’ve got to drive. And that does come into this education. They have to understand and believe that, you know, it’s their responsibility and it’s a good thing for them.

Secondly, you got to develop a certain level of coaching competencies before starting the employee evaluation.
So, HR can’t just say, “Oh, you’re a coach now” and expect anybody to actually just do it, okay? So, forms aren’t the trick, it’s how you use the forms.

Managers and supervisors and those of you who are in the oversight role need to learn some things too.
There’s some management training as well as employee orientation training. It really helps if whoever is at the top, whoever owns the organization, general manager, owner, CEO, etc. leads by example.
